There is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to be part of our seasonal grass cutting operations and associated tasks across the Borough. We are recruiting 30 full-time and up to 10 casual positions for 2025.

You will be required to carry out grass cutting with both pedestrian and ride on machinery, edging, back up strimming, weed removal, litter management, and fly tipping removal. You will need to engage with residents in the local community and work proactively with all members of the wider team including external agencies.

We are looking for highly motivated, flexible individuals who have good communication and interpersonal skills with a positive approach to teamwork and co-operation. You will need to be solution focused and have the ability to adhere to health and safety risk assessments and operating procedures.

Previous grounds maintenance knowledge within North Tyneside would be advantageous.  There will also be the opportunity for ongoing personal development and training.

Applicants for the full-time positions must be able to work 37 hours a week Monday – Friday from March through to October. Occasional evening and weekend work may be available throughout the season.
