FURTHER INFORMATION
Hopefields is an Independent School for 35 young people aged 11 – 19 years with additional social, emotional and mental health needs.
Committed to improving the education and life chances for young people from across the Tees Valley and with a strong track record of personal and academic success for students, Hopefields is now seeking to recruit a suitably qualified Teacher and leader to join our existing team as soon as possible. The successful candidate would enjoy teaching Mathematics to all abilities, Entry Level to GCSE (up to grade 7/8), and school age ranges.
Behaviour for learning in Hopefields is exemplary. Staff are highly supported, allowing them to create excellent opportunities for all children. If you love your subject and you love teaching, Hopefields offers you an opportunity to improve your pedagogy, working collaboratively to create transformative change. The education offered by Hopefields is tailored to individual need, delivered in a structured, holistic classroom environment, benefitting from high staff to student ratios.
Hopefields delivers a knowledge rich curriculum within a warm but disciplined environment, being outcome led, and outcome focused. Our thematic approach to curriculum intent and implementation provides meaningful holistic and therapeutic practices throughout the provision day which the successful candidate will deliver alongside other staff.
Candidates applying for this position would have experience of facilitating and driving forward the mathematical and educational outcomes of vulnerable young people with additional needs. The teacher will be producing and delivering packages of learning and will be required to monitor and record student progress and contribute to reports and assessments, alongside leading the maths department strategically.
A teaching qualification is required for this role along with an interest in professional development and the pedagogy of teaching and learning. We would expect the successful candidate to have incredibly high expectations for all young people.
Candidates should be versatile, enthusiastic and flexible, with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work independently, creatively and positively, using their own initiative.
If you share the ethos of Hopefields, this is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team of supportive, experienced and talented individuals, who take a real interest in improving educational outcomes for young people across Teesside and the North East.
Visitors to Hopefields comment on the focused and energetic atmosphere, the strength of our relationships, and how we strive to provide learning at every opportunity for all young people. A visit to the school is highly recommended (and encouraged) to further discuss this exciting opportunity.
