The part time post is to lead the Start Well elements of the mission-led Live Well South Tees Health and Wellbeing Strategy to reduce inequalities in attainment; improve education, training and work prospects for young people and improve mental health and outcomes for young people.

These posts are critical in our ambition to achieve longer and healthier lives for all our communities in South Tees.

We have an outstanding team and we are seeking Public Health Consultants who, in addition to having strong technical public health skills, have the experience and ability to lead and inspire this team, build great relationships within the Councils and partners.

You will have and an ability to articulate complicated issues in a way that engages and encourages participation to support the delivery of our emerging programmes.  The ethos of our leadership team is to support people at all levels in the team to flourish.

You will have a desire to develop a confidence and interest in our areas of work that can shift public health from the margins to the mainstream to build change across policy areas, build on assets in communities in addition to considering services.
