Look no further! We have two fantastic opportunities for Adaptations Housing Surveyors which are Career Grade posts to allow, not only those who are looking to learn new skills but also, for those who are already qualified but want a new challenge, to join the Housing Investment and Migration Support team here at Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
 
The role involves working in a challenging and busy frontline service, in relation to the provision of major adaptations and essential property repairs. This is a crucial role benefiting many vulnerable residents within Stockton, helping them to remain living independently within their home or aiding hospital discharge.
 
The types of work you would be doing include, surveying properties, producing CAD drawings and schedules of works for a range of adaptations and property repairs including but not limited to, Level Entry Showers, Ramps, Stairlifts, Damp Proof Courses up to Extensions.
 
We will provide you with the training and support to get you up to speed.  All you need to be a success is:
  • A full driving licence that’s valid to drive in the UK
  • Previous technical experience or knowledge on adaptations or the desire to enter this line of work.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and engage with residents within the Borough

This is a career graded post and appointments will be made based on your knowledge and experience to maintain a skills balance within the team. Further information is included in Appendix 1 within the Job Description and Personal specification document.
