Duke’s Secondary School has an exciting opportunity for a Behaviour Support Assistant to join the team, to support staff and students throughout the school day.
This role is designed to support students facing specific behavioural, emotional, academic and/or social challenges which impact on their learning and achievement.
You will work within our mainstream school supporting students who are having behavioural or pastoral challenges. You will work under the guidance of the head of year to support students in corridors, in lessons and at social times. You may also be required to support our learning recovery centre and implement interventions where necessary. To raise achievement by assisting the Key Stage team to ensure the welfare, development and achievement of students and ensuring appropriate learning behaviours in lessons and around the school.
This position is working 32.5 hours per week, term time plus 5 additional days.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, willing to help others, provide an excellent service and with an approach that is flexible to adapt to changing situations in a fast paced environment.
