As we continue to expand and remodel our services, we are looking for Approved Mental Health Professionals (AMHPs) to join our team, working 3 x 12 hour shifts 8am-8pm Monday – Friday.
You will be at the forefront of our mental health services, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, legally compliant Mental Health Act assessments and interventions. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and rights of individuals experiencing mental health crises.
You would work in a team of Approved Mental Health Professionals who carry out statutory duties under the Mental Health Act, Care Act and safeguarding procedures. You will work closely with social work teams and our external partners, whilst carrying a small caseload of complex and interesting cases. You will be supported to develop a creative and value-led approach to your practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assessment and Intervention: Conduct and oversee comprehensive Mental Health Act assessments under the Mental Health Act, ensuring appropriate and timely interventions.
• Legislation and Policy Compliance: Ensure all practices comply with relevant mental health legislation and organisational policies.
• Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work effectively with other health and social care professionals, agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate care and support for individuals.
• Crisis Management: Provide guidance in crisis situations, making informed decisions to safeguard individuals and the community.
