Why Choose Redcar & Cleveland Adult Social Care?
Here’s how some of our new Social Workers are settling in:
“I was kept really well informed as to each stage of the recruitment process. Since starting 4 weeks ago everyone I have met has been helpful and informative, making me feel very welcome.”

“As a newly qualified social worker fresh out of university, who has with very little experience with working with Locality team, I have found joining the Guisborough and East Cleveland team very easy to process as a new employee, regardless of experience. People within the team have been approachable to offer help and support when I have asked whether support is given face to face or over Microsoft Teams.
I have been offered plenty of shadowing opportunities, to shadow more experienced social workers while they are carrying out assessments, as well as been supported out on visits while I have been given my own cases and carrying out my own assessments.
I have been supported by my Team manager to ease into the role of a locality social worker by being tasked with completing reviews and booking time in to shadow other colleagues as well as book in any Training course that are available”.
