This is an exciting opportunity to join a skilled and experienced staff team at Addison Street Short Break children’s home.
Addison Street is a 5-bedroom home for children with disabilities, learning and/or physical disabilities who need short activity based care away from their families.
We are seeking two compassionate, dedicated, and motivated individuals to expand our existing team and work waking nights, offering care to our children with complex needs.
You will be supported by a sleep in member of staff who will be on hand should this be required. You will be required to monitor children with complex disabilities and make sure they receive safe and appropriate care should they wake.
You may be expected to assist with the administering of medication as required. You will be provided with a full induction into the service and should have NVQ level 3 in residential child care studies or be prepared to complete this within a 2 year period.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
