About this opportunity
This pivotal role within Cumberland’s Children’s Services sits in the Quality and Safeguarding team and reports directly to the Assistant Director for Quality and Safeguarding. The opportunity focuses on:
• Strategic Partnerships: Ensuring that partnerships related to children and young people are well-managed, purposeful, and deliver impactful outcomes.
• Quality Assurance & Improvement: Leading the directorate's quality assurance processes, driving outcomes-focused improvement, and overseeing inspection readiness and responses, including ILACS, JTAI, and SEND.
• SENDIAS Leadership: Taking responsibility for the leadership and delivery of the SENDIAS service to ensure robust support for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
• Governance Oversight: Managing effective directorate governance and providing strategic oversight for relevant support services within the Quality and Safeguarding Team.
As a key leader, you will drive multi-agency collaboration, ensure seamless planning and preparation for inspections, and support senior leaders in achieving strategic objectives for children and young people in Cumberland.
