Contract Type: Temporary (initially for one term, with possibility of extending thereafter)

Required for Summer term, commencing 28 April 2025 – SSJS is seeking to appoint a committed, enthusiastic, and motivated Year 3 teacher to join our thriving school which sits at the heart of our community.


The successful candidate will:

• be an excellent practitioner, who can communicate a passion for teaching and learning

• have a secure knowledge of the relevant curriculum and be able to use this to raise standards

• be committed to their own professional development and keen to be challenged to become the best they can be

• always champion the ethos of the school

• have the ability and willingness to be flexible to meet the needs of the children

• have high expectations and be able to demonstrate excellent classroom pedagogy

• be able demonstrate high expectations of positive behaviour for learning collaborate with a committed team of staff and governors, parents/carers, and the wider community

• have a desire to be involved in all aspects of school life, being willing to go the extra mile for the benefit of our children and the community

• have the capacity to inspire, enthuse, engage, and motivate children to be the best they can be
