Temporary – one year contract
Working Pattern:  Contract of 100 hours minimum each year. Extra casual hours available to suit throughout the school year.
M6 fixed rate, £29/hour
Casual, annualised hours contract.
Required as soon as possible

The Woodlands EHN Team are seeking to recruit qualified English intervention teachers to educate pupils who are medically too unwell to attend school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To support a child’s education until they are well enough to reintegrate to their school.
Candidates will be required to teach English and in addition PHSE and an option subject.

The successful candidate must be:
• A skilled and effective teacher with enthusiasm and drive
• Committed to working alongside a supportive and dynamic team to continue to raise standards and achievement.
• Has experience of delivering a creative curriculum.
• Have high expectations in all areas of school life
• Possesses excellent communication skills.
• Is well organised, highly motivated and flexible when working independently or as part of a team.

The post holder will be required to travel across all of County Durham. Teaching may take place in the family home, a Durham County building (e.g. One Point, library), an EHN Base (Sacriston or Leadgate) or a mainstream/specialist school in County Durham. 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
