Location: Your main place of work will be The Greenhouse, Greencroft Industrial estate however you will also be required to work from other council locations covered by the remit of Stanley Town Council
This is a great opportunity to work in the Town Councils Environment and Allotments Team.
This position will develop a range of community development tasks, and facilitate community working. Working with all the Allotment Association sites, direct let sites and relevant associated groups, including partners and stakeholders. This role will support & help our Allotment Communities develop sustainably.
Description of Role:
To develop, carry out and deliver the day-to-day supervision/tasks/responsibilities of the Council’s commitment to the development & sustainability of its large allotment Community. You will Work within the Town Councils Environment and Allotments Team to achieve this.
This position will have a range of community development tasks within the role. Essentially you will facilitate working together as a community. Work with all the Allotment Association sites & direct let sites and relevant associated groups, including partners and stakeholders. With an aim to support & help our Allotment Communities develop sustainably.
Strengthen And provide guidance for Associations to create robust constitutions and good community practices. You will be expected to provide advice and support to the Environment, Allotments & Community Development Manager in all matters relevant to Community Development associated to the councils allotment portfolio.
