The Head Teacher and Governors of Washingwell Community Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant to work across school supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and also supporting in our out of school provision, Whizz Kids. The post will commence as soon as possible
We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant who:
• has an outstanding record of working well within a team demonstrating a positive attitude, enthusiasm, dedication and commitment
• has experience of working with children in a primary school setting, specifically with children with SEND
• holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant / NVQ Qualification as a minimum essential requirement.
The successful candidate would be expected to:
• provide support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations
• promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils within the classroom
• contribute to the planning, preparation and resources of learning activities
• have a full working knowledge and experience of the Early Years and National Curriculum
• display excellent communication skills
