Evolve Residential are expanding and looking for full-time carers to join our team.

We are looking for confident, flexible, and nurturing residential support workers to join our experienced and committed care team in our children’s home situated in central Darlington.

As a children’s residential provider, we are seeking to establish ourselves as a leader in high-quality children’s residential care. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who wishes to grow and develop their personal skillset with an ambitious organisation.

The role provides opportunities to make a real difference to the lives of young children. Our service promotes relationship-based practice that is child-centred, and trauma informed. Participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative are vital. We have generous budgets to support this practice.

You will be involved in all aspects of the lives of young children who live in the home as any parent would. For example, transporting them to school, activities, appointments, making their home a clean, warm and cosy environment, cooking meals and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.

The role will involve working a range of shifts including weekdays, evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays and sleep in duties.


The essential qualifications and requirements for the post are:
 
  • Minimum age of 22.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to undertake shift work, including sleep-ins, weekends and bank holidays.

A NVQ/Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent is desirable but not essential as long as you would be willing to work towards this.

Experience of working in a children’s residential setting is desirable but not essential.
