Hours: Full time (37 hours), Permanent, Term Time Only plus one week (39 weeks)

St Oswald’s Catholic Primary School is an average sized primary school in the heart of Wrekenton, Gateshead.
The Governors wish to appoint a committed, motivated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our highly effective team. The role will be to work with children across the whole school.
The successful candidate will be required to cover PPA and provide support for all pupils including children with SEN. They will work with whole classes, small groups and individuals.
The candidate should have the following:
- Previous experience of working as an HLTA
- Experience of working across the key stages
- Experience of whole class supervision
- Experience of planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
- A good understanding of children’s learning
- Sound practical, interpersonal and organisational skills
- Experience of supporting children with SEN
- Be flexible and approachable
