JOB PURPOSE:
To deliver high quality English tuition to small groups in designated sessions. Providing one-to-one teaching, reviewing each lesson plan to meet the needs of individuals. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Planning, tutoring and session management.
• Support Centre Director with student well-being and progress
• Teach pupils in groups of up to 4 students in 60-minute sessions
• Responsible for the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people in centre
• Assess student’s work and give feedback at each session
• Take responsibility for the student curriculum plans
• Note areas to be addressed/taught in ‘Teachers’ comments
• Be professionally dressed and presented
• Give short, positive feedback to parents where appropriate
• Plan all work for the next session at the end of current session
• Arrive at the centre at least 10 minutes prior to session start time to prepare your work are
