We are looking to appoint a deputy manager for our outstanding Ready for School setting based within the Riverside Centre.
This post will support the manager in the daily operation of the nursery and support the parents. You must have at least 3 years’ experience of working with 2 year and 3-year-olds in an early year setting, be able to plan and deliver high quality activities for children, observing and assessing children’s progress and development, whilst identifying when children need additional support to reach their maximum potential.
You must be passionate about improving outcomes for the whole family.
Work closely with a range of partners to share information and make decisions.
Be assertive and confident, encouraging different and creative methods of working, to ensure that wherever possible, families get the right support at the right time.
Have good safeguarding knowledge.
The successful candidate will receive training in parenting interventions so that they can support the manager with the delivery of the parenting offer in the Ready for School setting.
This position is 22.2 hours per week and term time only over 190 days.
The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and an Enhanced DBS disclosure, including Barred List Check, will be required.
