Job Role: Kitchen Assistant

Contract Type: Part time, permanent

Salary: Grade 1 SCP 3 - £12.45ph which equates to £4576.00 per annum actual salary

Working Pattern: 1 x 7.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday (term time only)


Required as soon as possible, SLP require dedicated, self-motivated individuals to assist the respective Catering Unit Manager in providing an effective and efficient catering service to the children in our care.

You will assist with food preparation, basic cooking tasks and service of meals to the children, whilst observing health and safety regulations.

You will be required to ensure high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained and will assist with the setting up and returning dining furniture after lunchtime.

You should have good interpersonal skills and be able to respond to customers in a polite and helpful manner.

These roles are ideally suited to someone who lives locally. The successful candidate will be committed to undertake training and development, commensurate with the role, as required. This includes annual training in safeguarding.
