Bay, North Tyneside. The school is the largest First School in North Tyneside, currently attracting and serving up to 520 pupils from a wide catchment. There are up to 70 children in the Nursery, many of which access the 30-hour offer. The successful candidate will join an established, committed and successful team of Early Years teaching, support and out of school staff.
The Governors of this successful, large, friendly and happy First School invite applications for the post of 0.47 EYFS Teacher. The successful applicant will be the key person in maintaining, shaping and delivering an outstanding 30-hour offer for 3- and 4-year-old pupils at Marine Park First School. The 30-hour offer extends the 15-hour entitlement for eligible working parents of 3 and 4 year olds. This entitlement is in addition to the existing universal 15-hour offer to all 3- and 4-year-olds. In this role, you will be required to teach 3- and 4-year-old children each afternoon ensuring the provision complements the universal 15 hour offer pupils benefit from at Marine Park First School Nursery. As such, you will be required to work closely with the existing EYFS, Out of School and wider school staff to contribute to the outstanding education, safety, welfare, wellbeing, happiness and behaviour that we strive to achieve for the pupils at school. You will also be required to work for an additional 10% (e.g. half a morning per week or a morning every other week) which will give you your PPA entitlement. We can be flexible about the way this is 10% is worked.
The post will commence in September 2025 and would be suitable for recently qualified or experienced teachers. The post is fixed term for one year, initially.
Visits are welcomed and we have arranged two opportunities for candidates to see the school. The times and dates are:
- 1.00 p.m. on Thursday the 20th of March;
