Prosper Learning Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our busy and friendly team. This post offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious applicant to join an established multi-academy trust where they will develop their HR skills to support our academies and Trust.

The position would suit:
 
  • Current HR Assistants
  • Newly Qualified HR Apprentices
  • New graduates who are interested in a career in HR
  • Experienced Administrators who would like to move into an HR career

Some of the main duties will include:
 
  • Being a point of contact for all employees across the trust and its schools
  • Coordinating, advising and supporting Senior Leaders, Headteachers and the CEO on all aspects of recruitment and selection
  • Providing centralised HR administration support services for the trust and its schools including recruitment, contracts, induction, probation, changes and leavers
  • Monitoring the HR Admin email inbox and recruitment applications via the recruitment portal, responding to queries and escalating more complex queries to the Senior HR Officer, HR Adviser or HR Manager, as appropriate

The successful applicant will be based with the Central Services Team. Applicants will be able to manage their own workload and respond to the demands of a busy team. Applicants will need to be committed, flexible and highly motivated in their work. Relevant training and support will be provided.

Experience of working in a school / academy or an education setting is highly desirable. 

The successful candidate will:
 
  • Have excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Have experience of delivering high quality customer service
  • Be able to plan, prioritise and manage their own workload independently to meet deadlines
  • Be a supportive and co-operative team member with a flexible approach

Prosper Learning Trust was also recently named as the lead partner in the opening of a new Free School in Jarrow, South Tyneside. This school will be a Special School academy for pupils with SEMH (4-11 years).
