We seek to appoint a school receptionist / administrator to work under the instruction/guidance of the office manager to support students with queries and first aid, answering main school line and support main reception. The position is permanent and is available immediately.
With an NVQ level 2 or equivalent in a relevant discipline and previous clerical/administrative experience, you should have good communication and IT skills. The school’s management information system is Arbor and we use ParentMail as our main method of communication with parents/carers.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Be the first point for contact for students requiring support at the student services window.
• Assist with general staff queries and requests
• Deal with students who are feeling unwell, logging them in and out of the medical room, providing first aid, notifying parents when required, supervising students taking medication and completing correct medical logs.
• Take a lead in answering the main school telephone line, answering queries and taking/relaying accurate messages.
• Escort visitors and students to main reception when required
• Support main reception during the morning with answering calls, signing in visitors and authorising the correct lanyards
• Assist with deliveries
• Alert premises staff when contractors arrive on site via the walkie-talkie
