Further Information

ACT (Accessing Change Together) is here to help anyone who needs support with domestic abuse, homelessness, or substance use. Within ACT we have created two new posts to support our Housing Solutions Team with the delivery of temporary accommodation to those in priority housing need.

This is a new and exciting opportunity for you to help us shape and develop our Housing Solutions Service.

The role will involve arranging new temporary accommodation placements, tracking existing placements and ensuring our providers are paid in a timely manner. This role is crucial in supporting us to use temporary accommodation effectively and to help us to develop our working relationships with providers. You will have the opportunity to take a blended contact, working from home as well working from Fountain Court, our newly renovated, open planned and modern office. The office environment has an excellent kitchen and dining area and we encourage staff to take a break and eat together at lunch time. New staff joining Middlesbrough Council can expect a warm welcome from the team. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other teams within ACT such as our Front Door Team and Community Interventions Team and also with our adult social care teams who share our office space.

As a service we are also committed to supporting our staff and providing a healthy work culture. Staff have access to monthly supervision, regular team meetings and informal management support on a day-to-day basis. At Middlesbrough, we truly live our values and incorporate them into everything we do. We are passionate about improving the lives of our residents, focused on achieving best outcomes and creative in the way we work with people, ensuring they get the best support available. Your work will help us to improve services and pathways for those experiencing homelessness.
