In the role you will assist in the preparation of designs, drawings and contract documentation associated with highway and public realm improvements and assist in the supervision of work during construction to ensure efficient project management and quality of product.
As part of the overall design and implementation process you will assist with public, councillor and stakeholder consultations.
We would expect that you would assist in the development and maintenance of a customer orientated, high quality approach to service delivery to ensure that the service remains relevant and appropriate. To facilitate this, it is necessary to work as part of a team collaborating and sharing knowledge openly to enhance service delivery, ensuring both individual and team objectives are met. Additionally, you would be expected to keep up to date with policies and procedures and participate in meetings and attend training as necessary.
You will hold a BTEC National Diploma in Civil Engineering or possession of incorporated engineer status (or equivalent relevant experience). Along with knowledge of civil engineer and construction practice. It would be expected that you have good numeracy, literacy, organisation and communication skills.
You would need to be proficient in AutoCAD as well as Microsoft excel and word.
You must have a current driving licence or means to mobility support.
