The governors of this successful, happy school wish to appoint an excellent deputy headteacher to join our enthusiastic and committed team.

This is an opportunity for an inspirational and ambitious leader who shares our determination to maintain and enhance the high standards set by our school.

You will work closely with staff, pupils and parents/carers to ensure that every child receives an excellent education and experiences personal growth in a nurturing environment.

You will already be an established Deputy Headteacher or have significant leadership experience, with a breadth of demonstrable experience, who can contribute to delivering our vision for Barnes Junior School.

You will be an inspirational teacher with a commitment to ensuring progress and attainment for all pupils. The role includes a teaching commitment although no specific class responsibility. You will be a strategic and analytical thinker who has a creative and forward-thinking approach to leadership in an educational setting.

The successful applicant will strengthen and maintain the links we have built with parents and the wider community and will lead on assessment across school, tracking and strategically analysing whole school data in order to promote pupil progress and outcomes.

As Deputy Headteacher, you will also be responsible for supporting curriculum development, monitoring and developing attendance and developing trainee teachers. The Deputy Headteacher will also be required to act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.

You must be an excellent communicator and have the ability to forge strong relationships with pupils, parents, colleagues, local schools and community networks.
