We’re looking for a Street Lighting Electrician within the Highways Operational Team. Interested?

The team…
The Highways Operational Team deliver high quality construction and maintenance activities to all elements of the councils highways.
About the role….
The role will be responsible for the maintenance, service, testing, repair, fault diagnosis, installation of street lighting, street furniture and associated equipment, this involves working outdoors and at height.
The post is based in the Shearlegs Road depot
Duties include but are not limited to:
Testing and Inspections
Surveying, TR22, asset data collection
Planned and reactive maintenance
Installation of lighting column and LED technology
Assisting in electrical testing activities
SWA Termination and Jointing
Excavation and reinstatement
Working at heights (MEWP)
THE QUALIFICATIONS
Current Electrical Engineers Qualification – 18th Edition
Current ECS cardholder
City & Guilds 2391 Testing of electrical installations.
Category C1 drivers License (minimum requirement)
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
Experienced and certified in the operation of vehicle mounted hoist
G39 Certified
NEDL Fuse Pulling & Switching 01, 01.1, 01.2, 01.3, 01.4
NEDL Shrouding ref W3
Working within a confined space without restriction
MEWP
Willing to undertake other training applicable to the role
