The purpose of this role is to manage the Waste Services teams to deliver an efficient, compliant and safe service which delivers excellent expectations with the customer at its heart.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Councils Waste and Recycling Team. We are looking to employ an experienced and innovative Senior Team Leader - Waste and Recycling to drive significant operational and cultural change within the Waste and Recycling Operational Service.
The job role will involve leading and inspiring waste and recycling operational collection teams to drive forward our service changes and expectations. You will be required to demonstrate experience in service delivery leadership, although not essential, it would be advantageous to have experience in the service discipline. If you are able to lead and assist in driving change and improvement, have the confidence to project manage innovative solutions and drive service visions forward, challenging the traditional way of thinking, we would like to hear from you.
Ideally, the successful applicant will be educated to a degree level or be able to demonstrate substantial vocational experience.
The Senior Team Leader - Waste and Recycling is responsible for leading the waste services teams to deliver an efficient, compliant and safe service which delivers excellent expectations with the customer at its heart. To do this the successful applicant will be required to assist the Operations Manager – Refuse and Recycling for the efficient and effective management of all waste related services provided by the Council.
The council holds ambassador status for the Northeast Better Health at Work Award.
