Further Information
At Willow Boom, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported. We aim to provide warm, therapeutic homes rooted in trauma-informed care and nurturing relationships, helping children to heal, grow, and thrive. Rooted in compassion, we respond to children’s needs with patience and understanding and believe in their future. Here, every child is encouraged to bloom in their own time, in their own way.
Your role will be to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people living in the children’s home. To ensure their safety, well-being, and development in line with their individual care plans and the ethos of therapeutic, trauma-informed care.
You will be joining Willow Bloom at a very exciting time as we continue on our journey to open our first Residential Children's home in County Durham.
Your starting salary within the grade range will consider experience relevant to the post. We operate a 365 days per year, 24 hours a day service. As part of this, our shift-based roles work on a rota basis and attract enhanced payments during unsociable hours, as well as sleep in payments.
What you will need:
• A genuine passion and motivation for working with children and young people.
• Previous experience of working with Children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
• All candidates must hold or have the commitment to attain a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent as stated in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015) within 18 months of programme enrolment to meet regulatory requirements.
• Full UK driving license.
In return for your passion and commitment we will offer you:
A comprehensive programme of training to support you to develop in your role.
27 days holiday (plus bank holidays), rising to 32 days after 5 years' continuous service.
Access to the organisations pension scheme.
Attendance bonus, assuming good attendance.
