As a Senior Residential Worker you will be part of the management team that ensures the home provides high-quality care and supports children and young people living in the children’s home. To ensure their safety, well-being, and development in line with their individual care plans and the ethos of therapeutic, trauma-informed care.
You will support the Registered Manager in undertaking tasks to ensure the smooth running of the home. This will include preparing, recording, monitoring, and reviewing documentation. You will also be responsible for taking a lead in all aspects of caring and supporting the young people in the Children’s Home. You will also be responsible for the supervision and support of the residential workers in the team.
You will be joining Willow Bloom at a very exciting time as we continue on our journey to open our first Residential Children's home in County Durham.
Your starting salary within the grade range will consider experience relevant to the post. We operate a 365 days per year, 24 hours a day service. As part of this, our shift-based roles work on a rota basis and attract enhanced payments during unsociable hours, as well as sleep in payments.
What you will need:
• A genuine passion and motivation for not only working with children and young people, but to lead, motivate and inspire others.
• Significant experience of working with Children and young people in a residential setting.
• Candidates must hold a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification as stated in the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
• Full UK driving license.
