Classroom Teacher – Commissioned SEMH Provision at Gillas Lane Primary Academy
Salary: Main / Upper Payscale + SEND Allowance

We are seeking a passionate, skilled and committed Classroom Teacher to work in our new SEMH Provision at Gillas Lane. This is an exciting opportunity for a practitioner who believes every child can thrive with the right support, strong relationships, and a nurturing environment. This post is not open to ECTs.
About the Role
As a Classroom Teacher, you will work alongside our experienced Lead Teacher to play a key part in shaping a high-quality, inclusive and emotionally supportive provision for children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
We are looking for someone who:
• is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations for behaviour, engagement and progress
• can demonstrate a calm, purposeful approach and the ability to create a safe, nurturing learning environment
• has experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2, in either mainstream or specialist settings
• understands the needs of pupils with SEMH and is committed to trauma-informed, relational and inclusive practice
• can work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team, contributing to the warm, family feel that makes Gillas Lane unique
• can plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that support academic, social and emotional development
• can use assessment to inform planning and adapt provision to meet pupils’ individual needs
• can build effective relationships with parents, carers and external professionals
• will uphold safeguarding responsibilities and demonstrate strong professional integrity
