Further Information
The Governing Board of Forest Hall Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Y6 teacher (part time) to join our KS2 team when we move to our new site in September 2026. The children of Forest Hall Primary are merging with the children remaining at Ivy Road Primary (which closes in August) and additional teachers are needed to meet the increase in our pupil numbers.
We invite applications for a Y6 teacher to work afternoons only, teaching the wider curriculum as part of a job share with a well experienced colleague, teaching English and maths. The successful candidate will join us in providing a welcoming and safe learning environment for all pupils and maintaining our high standards of education and support during our transition year.
We are looking for an excellent classroom practitioner with recent and relevant Y5 or Y6 class teaching experience. They will have the ability to motivate and inspire children to learn and a commitment to improving outcomes for all. They will have a flexible approach and enjoy working as part of a team.
The post is open to MPS - UPS teachers and is a 1-year fixed term contract. Due to the merging of the schools, it is not suitable for an ECT in our transition year.
As we are relocating to our new site during the summer break it is not possible to offer visits but candidates are welcome to contact school for further information if needed.
Please see the job description and personal specification for further details of the role.
Everyone works closely together at Forest Hall to provide an engaging learning experience with stimulating opportunities to foster curiosity and develop skills. We aim to give all children the best start to their education, supporting need so that everyone can experience success and be ready for the next stage in their learning journey.
Please contact school on 0191 300 9341 if you require additional information.
