The Governors of St Oswald’s CE VA Infant & Nursery School are looking to appoint an experienced Classroom Assistant from September 2014 when the school makes the transition to Primary School status.
Initially the role would be to support the teaching and learning in a year 3 class, however, the successful applicant must be able to work throughout the Primary phase.
The successful applicant must be an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of working as part of a team who have been able to significantly raise attainment and ensure all groups of children achieve their targeted potential.
Key areas of responsibility include:
• Provide support to pupils with learning, behavioural, communication, social, sensory or physical difficulties ;
• Provide support to pupils where English is not their first language ;
• Provide support to gifted and talented pupils;
• Provide support to all pupils in particular learning areas e.g. literacy, numeracy and ICT.
Working hours for this post will be 9.00am - 12.00pm.
Essential qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 in supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification.
GCSE English and Maths grades A- C or equivalent
Shortlisting will take place on Tuesday 29th April.
Formal Interview will take place on Tuesday 6th May.
