The Governors of Middleton-in-Teesdale Nursery & Primary School are looking to appoint two class teachers, on a part time basis who will build upon the ‘2011 Outstanding Ofsted’ and the ‘2013 Good Ofsted’ judgments by significantly enriching the existing successful staff team and ensure that the continued successful development of our school is secured.

The successful candidate will be:-
• An effective team player with good to outstanding interpersonal skills
• Continue to accelerate children’s progress and attainment with a whole school focus on literacy and numeracy.
• A self motivated, enthusiastic, hard working and skilful good to outstanding classroom practitioner with experience in EYFS/KS1/KS2.
• Be willing to lead and manage a curriculum subject and strive to create an outstanding learning environment for that subject.
• Be a creative and imaginative practitioner who is able to differentiate effectively to ensure all children are engaged in their learning and robustly monitor the progress and attainment of Pupil Premium, DSEN and MAGAT children
• Able to plan and teach ICT effectively to meet the demands of the computing curriculum.
• Willing to participate fully in all aspects of school life including extra curricular activities.
• Flexible, and have a good sense of humour.

Shortlisting will take place on 2 May 2014. Applicants will be observed in a teaching environment at their present school, with the consent of the Headteacher, prior to interviews. Interviews will be held week commencing 19 May 2014.
