New Opportunity ! New Career !

We are looking to recruit into our highly motivated and committed Reablement Teams.

Reablement Workers are required to provide ‘hands on’ personal care to service users.

Reablement is about giving people over the age of 18 years the opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn/regain some of the skills they may have lost as a consequence of poor health, disability/impairment or accident and to gain new skills that will help them to develop and maintain their independence.

The service provides a stepping stone of intensive reablement for people who are eligible for home care services before a long term home care service is provided.

Reablement provides a temporary service and will be provided for up to a
maximum of 6 weeks.

The emphasis will be to encourage the individual to 'do for' themselves not to 'do to' them. Trained staff will work with individuals in their own home to ensure that they are supported and enabled to practice daily living skills safely.

What do the service users say about our Service?
53% were fully independent after their period within the Reablement Service.
88% felt that their quality of life had improved.
100% were happy with the way they were treated within the Reablement Service.
84% felt that they had control over their daily lives.
92% were satisfied with the Service they had received from the Reablement Service.

The Reablement Service is committed to developing a culture of promoting independence and has a strong teamwork ethic.

Why would you be interested?

Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives?
Do you want to work in a caring and supportive role with adults who live in their own homes?
Do you want to help people become independent with all aspects of daily living?
Do you want a new career with the training to help you carry out this new role?
Do you want to work in a supportive environment with support from experienced and motivated colleagues?
Do you want job satisfaction?

The successful applicants must have access to a car or means of mobility support, as the post includes the requirement to travel to and from service user`s homes within a given timescale, in accordance with the needs of the service.
