We are seeking to appoint a highly effective, conscientious and motivated teacher to join this successful, welcoming, caring school where both staff and governors are committed to ensuring that all children meet their full potential.

Ofsted, 2011:
“Pupils thrive and achieve well in an inclusive environment where all are welcomed and valued.”
“Excellent relationships support all pupils in the school.”
“Pupils feel safe and secure. They are in no doubt that help will be quickly provided should any problems occur.”

We are looking for someone who has an enthusiasm for teaching and learning, high expectations of children's achievement and behaviour and the ability to demonstrate the highest quality classroom practice.

In return, we can offer a welcoming and supportive place to work and a dedicated and creative staff team. Our friendly children are very responsive to all the exciting activities we provide in our creative curriculum. We actively reach out to all parents encouraging them to engage with the school and support their children's education. The school benefits from being very well resourced, with support staff in every classroom.

We are also offering a brilliant opportunity for a teacher with bundles of energy to inspire and motivate children and staff. Can you ensure high quality Literacy teaching and learning? Play a leading role in developing Literacy? There will be opportunities for professional development and genuine opportunities to develop practice and lead others.

If you are excited by change, have a good sense of humour, are keen to make a difference to the children you teach and to make a positive contribution to our team, then we look forward to hearing from you.

We are resilient, dedicated and determined; are you?

Our school has an above average number of children who fall into the vulnerable category for many reasons ranging from specific special needs to involvement with Social Services and similar bodies. We are looking for a teacher who will be resilient and appreciative of the barriers facing many of our children and with support, will endeavour to reduce the impact of these barriers. We are a small school with four classes and a Nursery. We all work together as a very consistent team with a whole school approach. It is essential that the successful candidate is able to work as a close team member.

If you think you can make a positive and confident contribution to our school, we would be delighted to hear from you. We welcome applications from experienced teachers and exceptional NQTs.

Visits can be made to school on Wednesday April 23rd at 4.00 pm or Wednesday April 30th at 4.00 pm. Please ring Jan Lindsay, admin officer, if you intend to visit on 0191 3868416.

Further information and application forms can be downloaded from this site. Completed forms should be returned to the school by Friday May 2nd, 12:00:00.
