Mainstream, 11 - 16 years (Mixed), We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Subject Lead Geography.

Dene Community School is a rapidly improving school with an excellent climate for learning. We wish to appoint an inspiring, innovative and creative individual to lead the strategic development of our new Geography. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding and dynamic teacher to play a pivotal role in developing Geography at Dene Community School.

You will be a teacher with a proven track record for high achievement in students learning, standards and progress. You have a belief in the ability of all within the school to achieve, have excellent communication skills, with a good understanding of team development and can inspire all staff and students.

The successful applicant will:
• Be an inspirational practitioner who maximises the potential of students and staff.
• Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence.
• Develop learning and teaching across the curriculum though the provision of specialist advice and support for teaching staff.
• Lead the planning and development of the subject provision.
• Have a track record of using self-evaluation and performance data to identify and implement effective improvement.
• Maximise achievement through rigorous monitoring, intervention and review.
• Have energy, resilience, optimism, a sense of humour and the determination to see things through.
• Make a full contribution to the wider life of the school and the personal development of our students.
