An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Social Worker to join the Emergency Duty Team office based in central Durham. We are seeking a qualified and HCPC Registered Social Worker to provide an effective and efficient service to all users, including carers and agencies, who require an emergency response outside of normal office hours.

The successful applicant will ideally be an Approved Mental Health Professional and / or have significant experience of Child Protection / Investigations. Substantial and contemporary experience as an EDT Social Worker will be a significant advantage. You will also be able to demonstrate an ability to work calmly under pressure and without close daily supervision, and to quickly analyse and evaluate information. Exceptional communication skills are a priority in all mediums, as well as a developed understanding of the role, functions, and needs of other organisations. Given the nature of this role, the ability to work flexibly is also paramount.
