A School Sport Competition Programme Manager is required to join the successful Durham & Chester-le-Street School Sport Partnership (www.durhamclsssp.org.uk) to co-ordinate, develop, deliver, and manage the School Sport Partnerships annual competition programme. The appointed post holder will also be responsible for the planning & implementation of a Gifted & Talented and Club Link programme to enable the successful delivery of the School Sport Partnerships Basic & Enhanced Service Level Agreements with local schools.

This post will involve working closely with the team of School Sport Co-ordinators, Sports Coaches, Sports Partnership Manager, partner schools and other sporting organisations to look after the organisation of high quality competitions and events along with other PE and Sport projects. The successful candidate would also be able provide administration support to the School Sport Partnership team which will include the management of the partnership web site, databases and liaising with partner organisations to maintain effective communication.

This position would suit a candidate who holds a degree in a Sport related subject and has an active interest in developing PE and Sport opportunities for young people both within school and in the community. The successful candidate will have exceptional communication, administration and organisational skills and the ability to manage and successfully deliver projects working to tight timescales. Teamwork and enthusiasm are vital ingredients required for the School Sport Partnership team.

This position is full time and will be offered as a fixed term contract up until August 2015. Depending on availability of future funding, this post may be extended. Essential qualifications: - Educated to Degree Level (ideally in a Sport related subject). Full driving licence and access to use of a car or means of mobility for work.
