An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Environmental Health professional to join the Council’s Environment Protection Management Team. This challenging role will require the post holder to support the day to day management and operational development of the Nuisance Action Team, in addition to maintaining their own personal caseload.

The Nuisance Action Team delivers a range of services including statutory noise nuisance investigation from both residential and commercial sources, providing comments on the environmental impacts of planning applications and responding to Licensing applications. It sits alongside the Pollution Control Team which together with the Public Health and Housing Team forms the Environment Protection Service.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be EHRB (or equivalent) registered, hold a relevant qualification in Environmental Health and have acquired an additional postgraduate qualification in Acoustics /Noise Control. Alternatively, you must be prepared to commit to register for the IOA Acoustics Diploma at the earliest registration available. You will also need to demonstrate you have the ability to lead and motivate an expert team and are able to provide specialist technical advice, particularly in relation to noise related issues.
