Further Information
Required from 1st January 2015 or sooner, we are looking to appoint a full time teacher based within Secure Education, Copelaw, Newton Aycliffe.

The post holder will be required to teach English to small groups of KS3, KS4 and KS5 young people in a secure environment. The successful candidate must have English as a main subject and must hold qualified teacher status (QTS). Experience of teaching in a small group setting and working with challenging behaviours would be an advantage. The ability to offer an additional subject within the broader curriculum should be included within applications. Experience in responding to, and managing challenging behaviour would also be an advantage.

The post holder as lead English teacher will be responsible to the Head Teacher under the supervision of a designated Assistant Head Teacher.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 2nd October 2014.

A Recruitment and Retention Allowance of £1,000 is offered and will be reviewed annually.
