Further Information
The Regeneration and Economic Development Service is looking to recruit two Housing Gateway Officers who will be members of a team contributing to the delivery of the front line Housing Solutions Gateway Service, providing face to face or telephone first tier housing triage assessments to members of the public in housing need and advice to landlords and partner organisations.

To assist in the prevention of homelessness, the post holders will be providing support and advice to ensure access to self-help information, sign posting or referrals to specialist services and Housing Solutions Services i.e. Home Improvement Agency, Homelessness, including having regard to the statutory provisions of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended) and associated legislation.

The post holders will also be expected to undertake general administrative duties in support of the service, booking appointments and emergency accommodation, answering telephones and ensuring all IT records are kept up to date, including triage assessments.

Please note these post will be based at Seaham Customer Access Point and the posts are temporary until 31st March 2015.
