The Supervised Contact Service has three full time temporary vacancies for workers to supervise contacts between families at a range of venues across County Durham.
The supervised contact worker will use observation and assessment skills to provide detailed and accurate records and reports to support Safeguarding Social Workers in their work with vulnerable children, their families and/or carers.
The successful candidate will be required to represent the service at a range of forums including case conferences; reviews and court.
A comprehensive induction and training programme is available.
Essential Qualfications:
NVQ level 3 (Childcare and Education or Early Years Care and Education)
OR
NNEB/CACHE Diploma (Childcare and Education) or BTEC/EDEXEL (Childhood Studies - Nursery Nursing)
OR
Early Years Teaching Certificate or equivalent relevant qualification.
Two posts are full time to 31st March 2016 and a further post is to cover 12 months maternity leave.
It is expected that, as part of the interview process, applicants attend a briefing session to familiarise themselves with the role of the Supervised Contact Service.
Briefings will be offered on 8/9/10 December 2014.
Interviews will take place from 16th - 19th December 2014.
