Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £24,760 per annum
Durham Cathedral has a proud history of employing its own stonemasons to undertake the repair, maintenance and conservation work required on this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Following a recent quinquennial inspection report we are looking to enhance the existing team and have openings for 3 suitably qualified and experienced stonemasons. The contracts will be for 6 months in the first instance. The quinquennial report has identified a longer term requirement for additional stonemasonry skills which the Cathedral is looking to address in the very near future. These 3 posts will enable more immediate stonemasonry work to be undertaken.
If you have an NVQ Level 3 in Stonemasonry, experience of working on a Grade 1 listed building site or heritage site and you can demonstrate your enthusiasm for the stonemasonry craft, please follow the link below to find out more.
