To support the Management Team in the day-to-day organisation of the day care provision and in the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Framework.

To work as an effective team member in providing a broad range of high quality day care, play and education for children aged birth to five years, meeting Ofsted standards of Early Years provision, on a daily basis.

To contribute to an appropriately safe, secure, stimulating environment for all children.

To assist in the provision of professional support to parents, carers and children and maintain individual care and development plans and files. Work in partnership with parents/carers and other family members, providing formal and informal opportunities through which information about the children’s well-being, development and learning can be shared to improve outcomes.

To undertake any professional training deemed necessary by the daycare manager and to be pro-active in their professional development.

Help to promote and sustain a culture of collaborative and cooperative working between colleagues and other multi-agency professionals and where appropriate, coordinate and implement agreed programmes and interventions on a day-to-day basis

The post holder will report directly to the Senior Early Years Practitioner and through her to the daycare Manager.

Essential Qualifications: NVQ Level 3; GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above; Satisfactory Enhanced level DBS Clearance

Essential Experience:
• Relevant experience of the full age range from birth to five
• Be a reflective practitioner
• Detailed knowledge of EYFS
• EYFS Observation, Planning and Assessment
• Evidence of partnership working with families and multi-agency partners
• Working collaboratively within a team
• Contributing to Equal Opportunities at all times
