Are you a highly motivated and inspirational teacher who wants to work in an Outstanding school that will challenge and develop your skills as part of our strong and very supportive staff team? The Governors of Witton-le-Wear Primary School are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic class teacher to work initially in our Year 2 class. This person should be highly motivated, forward thinking, aware of the latest educational developments and able to offer high quality provision for our children.
We are looking for a teacher who:
• Loves teaching, has a good sense of humour and can fit in well with our highly effective and very supportive whole school team.
• Is a good to outstanding classroom practitioner;
• Has a good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and preferably KS2 also;
• Can imaginatively adapt and deliver the curriculum to our children;
• Has a good range of planning and curriculum delivery skills to be able to cater for a range of children from those with SEND to those who are MAT;
• Is able to use assessment to track and plan for good or better progress in children’s learning;
• Has high expectations of themselves and the children;
• Has a commitment to developing a creative curriculum to enthuse and motivate learners;
• Is passionate about creating a stimulating learning environment where children can grow and flourish;
• Is able to communicate effectively in a wide range of situations;
• Has a good and effective range of behavioural management skills;
• Is very committed to maintaining the school’s high standards;
• Is able to work flexibly as part of our small and highly effective school team;
