TEACHING ASSISTANT APPRENTICES

We are looking for three people with a passion and commitment to working with children to join our school as Teaching Assistant Apprentices.

Training at Prince Bishops will fully prepare the successful candidates for a career supporting learning in a primary school. We are an outstanding school and a National Teaching School with a proven track record in developing all staff. Apprentices will also receive support and assessment from Durham County Council’s Adult Learning and Skills Service.

Successful candidates will work alongside experienced professionals with very high expectations and apprentices will also be expected to make a positive contribution to the progress of our pupils. You will need to demonstrate that you have good communication skills, confidence and that you are able to take the initiative. You will be a very caring person who gets along with others and has a good sense of humour. We expect the successful candidates to be reliable, very hardworking and ready to throw themselves whole heartedly into the life of the school. You will also need to complete tasks and assignments in a timely manner, so an ability to organise your time efficiently will be essential.
