MATERNITY LEAVE COVER-TEMPORARY UNTIL 31/1/2016 or until the return of the substantive post holder.
The post holder will be accountable to Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Supervisor and will deliver and on occasion, operationally manage the GRT Service in County Durham. The post holder will also work with the GRT Supervisor to manage Unauthorised Encampments and Temporary Stop Over Areas within County Durham.
This is a wide ranging role which includes, using relevant legislation in the management of Unauthorised Encampments, undertaking Welfare Assessments, and support in the development of systems for the service, awareness raising in the community with key partners and Elected Members
Required Qualifications: 2 A’ Levels, NVQ3 or equivalent

Due to the requirement to drive a County Council vehicle in this role, appointment will be subject to the production of a valid driving licence for the required category of vehicle and the satisfactory completion of an in-house Driver Induction Assessment.
