VACANCY No: CAS/15/197

We are looking to recruit a qualified Temporary Occupational Therapist into our highly motivated Reablement Service.

We are looking for suitably qualified individuals with experience of working with service users with predominantly physical health disabilities.

We are also looking for someone with experience of working within a Health or Social Care setting and who has knowledge of the structures within the NHS and Local Authorities.

You will have a good understanding of the health and safety issues affecting vulnerable people and their carers.

Reablement is about giving people over the age of 18 years the opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn / regain some of the skills they may have lost as a consequence of poor health, disability / impairment or accident and to gain new skills that will help them to develop and maintain their independence.

The service provides a stepping stone of intensive Reablement for people who are eligible for home care services before a long term home care service is provided.

The main aim of the successful candidate will be to provide a professional and specialist OT mentoring / support / advice to staff within the Reablement teams to ensure that they set, follow and monitor outcome based goal plans effectively.

The post holder will also provide OT advice to service users, carers and families whilst they are undergoing a period of reablement.

The Reablement Teams are committed to developing a culture of promoting independence and has a strong team work ethic. This opportunity wiill provide an exciting opportunity for the post holder to contribute to the development of the Reablement Service.

Required Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy with Health Professions Council Registration.

Interviews are expected to be held on 19th August 2015.
