Cleveland Fire Brigade Risk Management Services CIC is looking for applicants to join its Site Protection team as an Apprentice Site Protection Officer on an 18 month fixed term contract. Following an intensive 3 month training course where you will gain several qualifications including BTEC, IOSH and ITLS, you will join an onsite protection team for one of our Industrial customers whilst continuing training towards an NVQ qualification.

Working as part of a team you will play a key part in the emergency response to site incidents, including the rescue of site personnel, provision of first aid and the security of the site.

You will be responsible for the testing and maintenance of equipment to ensure operational readiness and you will take an active role in reviewing risk assessments.

Successful candidates must have
• 5 GCSE Grades A-C including Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Must be aged 18 as of 1st January 2016 and be medically fit in compliance with medical policy requirements
•The physical capabilities to undergo and successfully complete fire service physical tests
• Ability to work shifts including night shifts

In addition successful candidates must be available for a psychometric assessment day on 30th November, physical selection tests during the weekend of the 12th & 13th December, interviews in January and, if successful, will be required to attend a 12 week full time course from February 1st to April 20th 2016
