Navigator – VIP (Vulnerability Intervention Pathway) Service
The VIP Service is a new and dynamic service, established to reduce the number of adult clients who have come to the attention of partnership agencies because of presenting problems, support needs, and repeat presentations for service.
Clients may be victims or perpetrators of crime or anti-social behaviour: They may have other vulnerabilities, longstanding difficulties, and entrenched patterns of behaviour, symptomatic of a number of underlying factors.
The new VIP Navigator role will be a demanding and testing role, and for the Service to succeed, we need to recruit talented, positive, determined individuals, who can work with referred adults, to provide assessment, firm support and encouragement to drive and enable change.
Navigators will be assertive key workers who;
• Deal directly with clients
• Conduct detailed assessments
• Have an excellent knowledge of the partnership landscape and services
• Network and pull together relevant professionals and support services
around the client
• Offer direction and encouragement to clients
• Encourage self-awareness and independence
• Plan actions to tackle priority issues identified during assessment,
and ensure they are carried out.
• Maintain detailed and up-to-date case recordings
• Be conversant with relevant legislation that impacts upon this role
• Confidently identify and report safeguarding concerns.
• Close cases and redirect clients as appropriate.
Required Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 related subject area e.g. ASB Case Management, Social Work.
