Children and Young People’s Services are seeking 3 Social Workers to join our Child Protection Service. I post is available in the North (Stanley), and 2 in the South (Spennymoor). These posts will be particularly attractive to social workers who have an interest in working under the Public Law Outline (PLO) process, and who enjoy using their planning, assessment and report writing skills.

• Have experience of statutory social work with children, young people and families.

• Hold a degree or post graduate diploma in social work, or equivalent social work qualification, for example the Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) or Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)
• Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Have at least 1 year of post qualification experience in social work
• Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) - Enhanced Disclosure
